i don't think i've ever seen him before in movie or anything but it still makes me sad to read stories like that.

eesh. never saw reservoir dogs? footloose? true romance? all the right moves? etc etc etc. also been in a bunch of tv shows cameo roles. he's one of those omnipresent character actors, usually playing sensitive tough guys. fucking great actor. brother of sean penn.
