Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

about 1/3 done with this. anyone read it?

one the one hand, this guy is on another level. very smart guy with some brilliant chapters. fantastic.

on the other hand, he is very wordy and uses academic/scholarly prose. people simply don't talk like this. and the book kind of drags.

pick up the pace man! here's hoping the next 2/3 retains the good and jettisons the bad. did i say "jettisons?" oh snap. looks like delillo is rubbing off on me.

finished this.

very intersting but slow. a diatribe on death. with, of course, no answers. but a lot of interesting ideas.

i don't know if i have the energy for slow books anymore. oh well.
