One day in Haifa

At a beachside cafe, sipping jasmine tea, spotted this woman communing with the Mediterranean in the sunset.

In the lower city called the 'Wadi' (valley) of Haifa, i had to shoot this building (it's so very Haifa old city)

At the Haifa Museum, there's a show called Boys Craft - when males use traditionally feminine handiwork to express their art. This wheelchair was based on the idea of lacemaking, sequinning and beading. It is glamourous and fabulous and I don't remember the artist's name. But when I get it, i'll add it. Edit: Name: Kristian Kozul is the artist from Croatia. Thanks, arcadia, dear for noticing. I'd switched my photo over at flickr!

& that's it for now.

hey, dear people.
westie, thanks for looking at these views of Haifa
John, wish i could add some turkish coffee with cardomom for the zest of the day, but yes, these represent a small slice of that wonderful city.

There's also the fabulous Bahai Temple, all tiered up the moutain and golden domed.
There's the huge port in the lower city.
And the street of burekas (like spanokapita in Greece) of falafal in the middle city.
one day...

meanwhile, i read your poems and quietly enjoy - i guess there's a time for quiet and a time for verbal, a place for words and a place for rumination

Thx again for the pics and I will look for more when the time is right.

Those poems are from 2002 with some polishing up for the times. Glad you still find some interest in them. That is good.

Judih : "looking forward to your stream today"

nice of you to say. after all the streams i've written i never know if the words will come together. i am still amazed to find they do.
