my daughter is here. i am so excited that i can hardly breathe.
to have her in my range of vision is utter heaven.
i can't talk, think, i can barely link dot to dot
i may try to read your work, studio 8-ers,
but i can hardly connect to linear response
it's all a blur
an adrenaline joy
for 2 weeks, i'll have her in my immediate aura (even if she's travelled 4 hours north of me). pure and utter joy

dew wit
dew wit out
daughter's gone
flyin mid-Atlantic direction west
home to her beach and her darlin
off to shake and rattle her crazy crazy world
leavin a glow of light as she goes

and this poet wishes
she could tag a light tail
to the end or beginning
of a daughter journey,
see where it might land,
turning my head, of course,
from being buried in the sand,
shake it out, rattle it, crazy crazy
truths, the youth of a conduit,
can do it too!
and you and me like a welcome home light,
her flight her reach her discovery .....
our sight on the porch for return
and she will, her home, her lovely
presence, her tease, her true journey!
leaving a glow of light as she leaves
and as she returns to you... to me.

i tipped my stepdaughter ten dollars above the price for a haircut yesterday
she curled my hair whilst in her salon chair
her haircutting friend said i looked like somebody from who-ville
i hope to sense this wonder and see it realised by my wife
whose journey with her daughter led her to me.

Like Paul Simon said the mother and child reunion is only an a emotion away.
