april 20th

Post by judih » April 20th, 2008, 2:13 am

Passover break - heading into the 2nd week.
ah, yum.
Last week put together some winter/spring work for a small chapbook.
how many copies to print? 10? 20?
i have a small list of people who are getting one even if they don't know they're getting one. I have 3 people who know they're getting one. (If you want one, ask.)

i guess my social disconnect is showing. i've been way overboard dishing out the mother theresa shpiel (i call it 'shpiel' because i'm nowhere near a mother theresa yet my work calls for one).
So this is my period of re-collecting, scooping up some peace, solitude, and simply being.

ah, yum - worth repeating.

oh, and happy passover.

Happy holidays to you too.

Have you ever heard the joke about why is this knight different from all other knights?

I think i just did tell you the joke. It is a kid's passover joke and there is not much of a punch line. I heard it at a seder last night.

But here goes.

The king and queen announced that their daughter was to be married and she would choose the suitor that pleased her the most. Knights came from all over the kingdom. The first knight appeared wearing beautiful of armor of silver she refused him. The next knight came on a beautiful white stallion she refused him. The next knight came bearing precious jewels and she refused him. Finally a knight came in plain armor bearing a single rose and she chose him. And the youngest child asked why is this knight different than all the others?

my best wishes to you for a happy holiday.

cecil, you and soo are on the list of no need to list.
thanks for the back door compliment.

dave - i shall,

jack, got it!

yes, there's an orange here and there, mostly up way too high, but fun to try.

One side of the grove houses a male wild hare,
the other side of the grove is the female's domain.

i get a kick out of seeing them zoom out of sight as i approach. a photo opp? doubt it. but it makes life real to see rabbits hanging out.

I love the dial tone sound of social disconnect, a heady hum that shows we are still listening, if perhaps unlistened to.

I'd take one with grateful gratitude. A judih chapbook to beat time through.

Yay, judih!
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Hi Judih.

I know I haven't been around
but I think about you
from time to time
and it pleases me to see that the strength and beauty of your words hasn't faltered
and invigorates me as always.
I like the picture of the wheelchair, I'll try to use it in a drawing.

Love,
Jeremy

jeremy dear! been thinking about you, as well.
hugs.
hope all's well with you.
yes, that wheelchair is something - the entire show was amazing and you would have adored it. So much funky craft and so brilliantly created.

Would love to see your rendition of that chair!

hi arcadia,
fresh naranjo from a tree in the quiet of an afternoon is definitely one of my favourite things

my chapbook is just a small collection of stuff from the past few months.
If you want one, please send me a message with a mailing address.
