it's crazier than nuts
a world gone berserk

peace and tranquility glow in the mind
while rockets and war rage out the door

people say goodbye
withdraw their care

strangers send their love
offer their support

what was up, is down
the inside roars in claustrophobic breakdown

torn from sleep
a soul awakes
wondering where to find oasis

To pour out a heart
to let it flow, and splutter
oh, such joy that would be

such relief to let the pressure hit the roof
and the floor melt in tears

yet my role is to show strength
i am the pillar of calm

i release doubt in jokes and cupcakes
i walk my silent monologues
as herds of sheep graze
and timeless bedouin whistle for order

i speed up as i see distant trees
and slow down as i see homefront approach

this hot month of hotter days
and all i want is you, my friend

to take a situation like this and explore the heart
