It would probably be better
if this artlog did not exist.
it would probably better if you did not post here
I never know which way the wind is going to blow
And my life is in the wind.

I enjoy your posts, I've had more than my fair share of laughter and merriment with pretty near all of them. When I come on the site I look for any new posts by you first to see what ya been up to...Bona Fide. Now comes the part I will probably regret: the reasons ya gave for movin' on - BULLSHIT still truckin', You've got friends here...thats what I don't understand...now, I ain't one to stand in another man's way but I also understand my obligations when it comes to this...so, thats my piece & I've said it straight up. Whatever way ya cut it, I'm gonna miss ya.

Ten years after I found my self with my hands around my mother's throat---
She and I sat down and had a nice cup of tea together---
she eating a piece of schmaltz herring and sipping a glass of tea---
and me eating a moldy piece of rye bread
And we talked till four am in the morning
just like we were the best of friends again
I owe it all to
Nietzsche and LSD
a laxative for the brain
I don't recommend it for anyone else
Was it a blessing or a curse
Who really knows
It could have happened another way
with out all the pain and suffering
but that is how it happened for me
Have you ever seen the Diane Linkletter movie by John Waters?
I used to think it was a very funny movie.
I laughed hysterically
I was a mess
Hysterical I was
not the movie
Oh well
another day of unasked for consciousness

and you can't slow down
You can't let go
and you can't hold on
You can't go back
and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you
then the lightning will
Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Round round robin run around
Gotta get back where you belong
Little bit harder, just a little bit more
Little bit farther than you than you've gone before
The wheel is turning
and you can't slow down
You can't let go
and you can't hold on
You can't go back
and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you
then the lightning will
Small wheel turn by the fire and rod
Big wheel turn by the grace of God
Everytime that wheel turn round
bound to cover just a little more ground
The wheel is turning
and you can't slow down
You can't let go
and you can't hold on
You can't go back
and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you
then the lightning will
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Won't you try just a little bit harder?
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?

the music... traffic? the cover looks like an early traffic album but the music doesn't sound like traffic...
LSD - I was in the Navy, stationed on Guam, read a book, "Myself & I" by Constance Newland [pseudonym] - (Thelma Ross)... "The intimate and completely frank record of one woman’s courageous experiment with psychiatry’s newest drug LSD-25." I had for many years been interested in the mind, Freud, Jung, et al.. the book riveted me. I wanted to drop this LSD... where?
1967, Oakland, CA... I had arrived from Guam to report to my first (and only) Navy ship - U.S.S. Coral Sea (CVA-43). What a time to be in San Francisco... the legendary "Summer of '67". My first trip, Owsley 750mg, pure, unadulterated LSD. I don't know if the dosage was available in larger amounts, but there were two lesser pills : 250mg and 500mg. I knew nothing about dosage, knew next to nothing about psychedelics, but the words of Constance Newland were fresh in my mind. I had a reasonably well-understood method of experiencing this high... this expansive high. One needed to respect this drug. It was sacramental... a wholly trip down the rabbit hole and beyond. One had to be fearless and trust the trip. I had a friend that remained acid free as the book encouraged having someone there to act as a guide of sorts... keep you from doing the dangerous should anything get too freaky. All went wonderfully. I went beyond... far beyond my ego life.
"I don't recommend it for anyone else "
After that I never liked hearing or being around folks that used that fantastic drug as a "fun thing, man!" No respect. They used acid like it was some joke that played tricks on their heads... haha. Not funny to me. Wondrous? Absolutely. Amazing? Definitely! For anyone to eat anytime they felt like joking with their head? Never! But they did. And these folks are the one's this clip you posted was addressing - the people that had no idea what they were experiencing.. how this drug could open the Doors of Perception wide, hinges and all, and bring the traveler into worlds that nobody could possibly have known existed.

The first time I heard that song was in the Student Union building at the university of Maryland in college park. They showed the Kesey Magic Bus movie and that was the first song on the sound track

I never asked for it that I can rememberOh well
another day of unasked for consciousness
Even so I am deeply grateful
So far
I don't have much of an Akashic [sic(?(]record
I can remember who I was from a toddler, and even that is fading fast.
Silent Woman she had a smile as wide as this whole got dam jail
She loved her little jade Buddha
Patted his tummy and smiled
Reincarnation was a comfort for her,
So maybe I did ask way back in another life when I was a shoe salesman or a janitor with the full catastrophe
Zorba The Greek
The Full Catastrophe

nice Dead choice... and you saw it in living sound.
i was very lucky to have seen them several times including one time here in Phar Lepht. anyone that never saw their live performance may never understand the Dead Head phenom... a magical experience.
reminds me : an album of theirs "Live Dead" recorded in Golden Gate Park... one piece "Dark Star" is, imho, the wondrous sound that became known as the psychedelic sound... a masterpiece of music.
yeah, you're right... i should youtube search that one.
thx, truck... you're an honest man and honest folks are good folks.

The good choice was Ken Kesey's bro
He the one that chose that song for the sound track to the bus movie.
Alamo Rose may she rest in peace
once told me I was
"Honest to a fault"
I asked her about my brother
She said he was "Kind to a fault"
I once told you that you reminded me of him.
Me and the jitterbug
Baltimore circa 1940's
![Image](http://www.geocities.com/jackestate/eugejacky.jpg)
obligatory ramble to follow
2/14/09
sunrise: 7:14
sunset; 6:23
2/18/09
sunrise: 7:10
sunset: 6:26
Longer days for the ryder, motor cycle rider
I can't remember where/when I first heard this song
Maybe Guitar Town circa nineteen seventies.
