coal is clean energy
we must destroy the goddess on the mountain tops
We must be rid of the abomination
among the things of the new world
The Aztec gods still rule

Had ye faith
you could move mountains
who said that
was jesus?
yes we have faith
we are mountain movers
and mountain top removers
but stilll the mountain remains
it looms at a distance
says fuck you
I am a mountain
and you are walking ephemera
The mountains of the mind
The mountain of han shan
Take me away scotty
beam me up
I am too stupid
for this world's intelligence
take me to your heavenly store
Dear Jesus
My credit is bad
and baby needs new shoes
Move me a mountain
put it over there
in the middle of Bexar county
I need a small vacation
Agnus Dei
Requiem for a mountain
Being as a god is a lonely business

"The Hebrew term for the Canaanite goddess was 'the Abomination'". Campbell points out that typically agrarian societies have female gods, while nomadic hunters, eg, the Hebrews, worship male deities. Despite this banishment of the Goddess figure, "she came back in the Virgin". Campbell implies either that there is something in the human psyche which requires a female Goddess, or that this archetypal figure was intentionally reintroduced into the religious worship of the West under the guise of the Virgin Mary, or that there is built into the fabric of spiritual reality a feminine principle.

Anne SextonAnd I said,
"To hell with God!"
And he said,
"Would you mock God?"
And I said,
"God is only mocked by believers!"

I guess it is good that I am in Texas not Massachussetts I could be in a lot of trouble for writing this:
I am nothing if not rational.
So
Not to worry
God is on our side,
fuck it
God is on every bodies side.
I have heard somewhere that God used to have a wife, but he would come home drunk and beat the shit out of her so she left him. Poor god he ain't had no pussy since he laid that teen age Jewish virgin. Could it be sexual frustration on God's part.
My god is a mighty smitey god
a real man's man
tough as nails
Don't tread oh his cape
Took a Friend at a Quaker meeting to make me realize what the Jews were chosen for.
My people have been road kill on the road to Damascus.
I am very sick
I probably should delete this post
IS there anyone I have not offended with it.
I should be more respectful.
If it is any consolation to my christian friends I will probably burn in hell for it. Unless god has a sense of humor. Then I might get a gig in heaven yet. Maybe even see lenny bruce there.

my words dam me
I watched a show about a Catholic priest in Zimbabwe, treating AIDS victims.
Doing the right thing
Do priests do more good than harm?
Every human act brings good andevil?
But they say all things work to the good of those that love god.
Do I love god?
Oh yes
I just don't like the word
Only one word
God
ANd it don't mean jack shit
There is no word
for what we call god
even the I know that
tautology are me
Quiet as a sunset
I slip away
I am just trying to overcome my fears

J.C.We want to talk about God; God is a name, God is a thought, God is an idea, but its reference is to something that transcends all thinking.

on a mountain top
sliding backwards down Monarch Pass Colorado
Satori comes late to me
when I climbed down out of that truck
and stood there in the quiet of the falling snow and darkness
Is that what bliss is
memory is just relived experience they say
I am always still standing on a nameless mountain
even when I am not there
the mountain is stillstanding
stillstanding mountain
even when I can't login into the thistles and marigolds

Every memory
Every set of mammary glands
must have a name
.
I don't know why I am thinking of Patsy Cline. Except she was from those mountains

the woman with the lovely arms sits at a cafe a world away
and
i imagine those arms reaching out to embrace me

happiness is a warm puppy
They called it puppy love
Strange that 53 years after I first saw her at her sweet sixteen birthday party I still remember that red sweater with the bow she had on that night. Never dawned on me until last year just why I have such an eidetic memory of that tight sweater.
Bliss
first love
I needed a refresher course
I may have to lock this thread if I keep high jacking it

i've got a hunch i should see this movie -
http://www.jesus-in-india-the-movie.com ... movie.html
i'm in the minority that is very curious about the missing years of Jesus, ages 13 - 30. wouldn't you if you knew those years were not accountable? i mean, this man is really well-known... at least his name is well-known, but he has gotten to a lot of people, many more that have died. they did not die because of Jesus. some, though, might have died for him. but not many. Jesus died for them, not the other way around.

Sorry Cecil
but this is probably my favorite film about Jesus right now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjOflq4Ef4c
My favorite bit in the video is the tee shirt with the image of Jesus imprinted on it like the The Shroud of Turin. You know about the scientific controversy going on about the shroud these past 30 years?
Lenny wrote a great series of stories called Limbo, he had a really good episode about Jesus in India. I don't have the heart to look and see if it is still in the archives on litkicks. I saved it to my hard drive but I don't think it is cricket for me to post another persons work here.
