palpable

No sunrise today
I been waiting for it like a kid on chistmas eve

up since three thirty
working at the Rosewater foundation
speaking to lonely american night

four o clock coyotes calling

six forty rooster crows

seven ten bird calls

but no sun shine today

so I am wailing
wailing at a
gray overcast morning
and I got a bad head,
pix elated eyeballs
I really needed to see that sunrise

If only I had faith enough.
