The ten of diamonds
the good ten

Started keeping my journal again after a two month hiatus.
As if I am scripting my life complete with a voice over by Uncle Albert.
“Where is that man who has forgotten words that I may have a word with him?”

Reading Fear and Trembling and the Sickness unto Death and it is kind of like reading a book about Zen I don't understand a word of it but it cheers me up immensely .

Friday rains.
We could be excellent poker partners. Had a dream about vegas, all those tables with situations; a perfect match for you to play the hands and I toyed the environment, of course we came home with pocket fulls. I told you it was cause of my dress, and that one entwined section of curl. But, you said it was cause you didn't let em see...

I brought them to their knees
and you got all their winnings,
we're rich for a night,
see how long it lasts this time.

Yesterday I went window shopping and wanted this sweet, blue off the shoulder number, and today you were asking what street it was on. I think I'll go out in it barefoot, then you can get a new fancy hat to stand mysterious under.

I like Fridays if the week was long.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

Fridays are sweet if it has been a long week
Yeah I fell like I am on Queen For a Day

Crazy Mike was a poker player

A real riber boat gambler

He was
Bound to lose.
So he switched to chess
Played Bobby Fischer to a drawl the only time he played him.

Speaking of Queen for a day and luxuriant Fridays
I am reminded of Faye Dunaway.
Reminds me of scene from the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair the scene where she was playing chess with him

They're wonderful, thanks for sharing that, I haven't watched that movie yet. Looks good or if looks could kill, I like that.

I read the novel the Handmaid's Tale but I have not seen the movie.

Faye Dunaway in The Handmaid's Tale

Sometimes when I think about Lenny Bruce's tragic life I think about his time with Faye Dunaway and I feel better for him.
