Sweet dreams.
Gonna go to sleeps and figure out what all you just said to me. :P
Gotta put on my rain boots and start slashing those puddles, until I sink.

I like that quote from George Santayana (the one about skepticism and chastity that I attribute to Mae West)

I always knew you were smart and not just because you are a woman..

I ain't really saying that much to you dame
Mostly tape recorded passages from books I have read.

I don't know steve
no sorry necessary
I don't know why I wrote that about being stubborn, I think I meant that I thought I had a good interpretation of the poem in my head and I did not want to find out I was wrong. I did not want to know more about it then what it meant to me at that point.

Poem was clear as a crystal bell for me and reverbeated deep down where I try to keep my stream of thought clean, always cleaning always considering my intentions my motivation for writing anything these days.

sorry for the ramble, I sit here and wonder is your poem as good as I think it is.
thank you very much for it.
I know who I am
I am not Geronimo, at point point would I take action, stand up and risk chains, the answer is not flattering, I was born to follow. Safe in the herd, a coward. I been thinking about those John Wayne westerns again.

hell i don't know what the poem means either - sometimes i just follow these things and they happen out the way they happen out and then at the end of them i look around to see if i recognize anything about where the hell i am.

most of the time i don't see anything i know.

i read what other people write and i can see they don't write like me. i admire their efforts, everything so polished and fitting just right. not me, shit just comes at me from everywhere and i don't know what to make of it most times.

i might clean but i don't polish.

ten four mingo
it was a clean poem
I jest meant I wanted to keep my interpretation pure, authenic to me, myself, and not corrupt the shinning image of that hero with a thousand faces.

I think the polishing is for the editors, for the powers that be, the powers that control the destiny of aspiring writer.

I have decided to stop aspiring myself. :)

it was good poem mingo that's all.

Speaking of polishing...
I have to admire mnaz, he polishes and polishes his stuff but his motives are pure. He is only in it for the money

I can't touch this

the woman at the well judaism 101
I have come full circle these past thirty five years
back to where I was when I dumped my core on acid and sex in 1974, back doing the same bummer, after the abortion all I could think was Nietzsche was not helping me make it through the night anymore, and thoughts of suicide were like a bare light in my eyes, I had no conscious thoughts of suicide just a terrible burning light behind my eyes, but I will be damned if I did not get down on my knees in my bloody underwear and pray to Jesus for the oblivion of sleep, I am not proud of that, or ashamed. Just something that happened and you were right, repentence is a given, but it is a gift I had to give myself. I was no help to her after the abortion, just kept playing a song by the incredible string band over and over,
kind women K, they have all been so kind
what her karma must have been that someone like me would come into her life.
Oh well
not forever maybe k
just another few billion years probably

full circle now that I more than doubled my age since then
from my thirties to my seventies.
