You said to Izzy that you thought there might be more racism on the part of the Palestinians towards the Jews but I heard plenty of hatred coming from Jewish settlers on a recent NPR show about the new settlements in the occupied territories. But NPR may not be fair and balanced either.
Of course NPR may have an agenda too. NPR hires virulent anti-Semite, MSA member
When the settlers (many of them seem to be American Jews) start ranting about Biblical land I get depressed. Jimboloco tells me he sees ads in the Florida papers listing land for sale in the occupied territories real cheap. A real good investment.
I am hoping that Obama will be more objective dealing with the problems in the Middle East than Bush was. That is what concerns me about his Christianity.
During the first presidential debate both McCain and Obama were asked a simple question. "Is Iran is a threat to the United States?" Both he and McCain both ducked what seemed to be a simple yes/no question and replied that Iran is a threat to Israel.
I wondered if they were saying that in a strategic sense as in Israel is our ally in the Middle East or were they speaking theologically as in we must protect the holy land? At least Obama was not singing "Bomb Bomb Iran." He thought we should at least talk to Tehran before we used military force.
This is the thread by iZzy I was referring to above If the whole world could've voted... Obama did well in Israel, 82.6 % I find that very hopeful.
I find myself praying for the secrete service to do a good job of protecting our president elect. Biden is not half the man Obama is.
