I feel like such a traitor
I should be out there shopping
My nation is counting on me
To keep the economy going
Jobs are on the line
The very fabric of our civilization will unravel
I must over come my hum buggery
I got to get off my @SS
shop it off
Seriously
It is too late now
I must stay the course
two more days to Xmas
I must make my amends
catch me later
I got gifts to buy
For Christ's birthday
I can't afford to wait
To wait till spring
I got more money than time
I got thirty dollars in my wallet
Cash money
green backs
in god we trust.

shinny things attract the crows eye
I see myself reflected in the surface of a soap bubble
Surface tension are me

Talk about shitty karma

shiny things. not only crows, amigo.
attraction to light in all it's magnificent forms, is a de-light for all who can see. where would we be without the shine of the light seducing us to better ourselves in the darkness of life that intrudes upon us when we least want it ?

"I can see my future and it is grim,
even so I feel lucky to be me."
One of the most difficult lessons we have, imho, is accepting the fact that we make our own reality. If we allow our reality to be grim, dark, without joy or even without bliss that is exactly what we get in return. The main obstacle to overcome is to love our Self. Not just love ourselves, but our Self... that inner being that we go to or find ourselves when we feel really, really good... the world looks beautiful, the eyes sparkle with happiness, we smile effortlessly. We all deserve that... even you, Jack Tilles... even you. Whatever happened to you in your past remains there in the past. Today is new, tonight is new.... if you want. If you accept the light that shines within you. Once you accept that... you can feel that smile coming on you lips, your face... it's true, Jack Tilles. You're never to old to accept your goodness. Forgive yourself for that crap in the past. Imagine if we all never let go of our long passed negative memories... just imagine - we'd all be fucking miserable because we weren't perfect. How foolish is that? Life is so fucking short. You know that. Live what's left with goodness in your heart... with joy and compassion towards not only others but YOU. It's never too late to love life.
Change that luck into reality...

The spirit is willing the flesh is in a hell of a mess
Just not fit Cecil
We can talk about it and you can give me good advice and still I need to loose some weight. If for no other reason than to have mercy on the EMS guys or my pall bearers.
One more pound and I will be off the scale all the way back to zero.
I have been here before but in my younger days, it gets harder with age.
Other than that everything is just peachy, I been into cooking soup lately. Sweet and Sour Cabbage today. Last week it was Chicken Soup.
Helping the bear fix his wife's car today, I was laying down under the car and I thought he was going to have to use his engine hoist to raise me back on my feet.
I need to find a copy of The Magician Of Lublin, something I need to read again about all this flesh.
Thanks for taking an interest.
Life is still beautiful for me even if it gets more challenging as I age.
You be fit Cecil, that is a good thing, maybe I will be fit again someday.

The last couple of days my left knee has been painful... driving me nutz cuz it's kinda difficult to walk lightly, Plus my right ankle has been givin' me some discomfort for quite some time now when i go up or down stairs. But other than that... all's pretty good.
Weight is a big problem in this country... too much junk food and not enough fresh stuff. but doin' your own soups is a really good thing. Congrats on that!

Yet all the statues of the Buddha I have ever seen are of a fat man.
Silent Woman loved her little jade statue of the Buddha; she would pat his tummy and smile.
Such a beautiful smile.
This song is for her

laughing buddha... rub his belly and it'll bring you good luck.
not all buddhas are fat bellied, at least the statues of them aren't. buddhas come in all kinds of shapes and colors. some look like somber people that nobody would want to be around they're so serious while others are like that laughing buddha with a big round santa claus belly that jiggles when they laugh. i've seen skinny-assed buddhas and other-worldly looking buddhas that would pass for ET's with the color of stone it was carved in. some buddhas have been so scary that the taliban blew them up. dumb.
buddha, buddha... carved out of meditation and suddenly is revered for some religious purpose that nobody can explain. explain that to me.
elements of the pagan exists in all religions east and west. naturally. pagan = nature, eh?
a buddhist monk and his student were on a pilgrimage in the mountains when a sudden snow storm came up. they found refuge in an abandoned hut. there they found some firewood and lit a fire to keep warm. the evening turned to night and the cold got worse while the firewood was nearly gone. the monk picked up the statue of buddha and tossed it into the dwindling flames. his student yelled at him - ""you just burned the buddha!" the monk told him - "the buddha is within you, not in that piece of wood."

Thanks for the information Cecil.
I know nothing about Buddhism, nothing about Judaism either, or Christianity.
Just bits and pieces.
A note on Dark Room
It is the name of word processor I been using. Clean and mean. Nothing but a black screen, no menu bars, just the text appearing as white on black. No spell check or grammar check. Very easy on my eyes.

I still think about your video problems. I noticed that it happens to me sometimes too. Not sure what is causing it.Dark Room is a full screen, distraction free, writing environment. Unlike standard word processors that focus on features, Dark Room is just about you and and your text.
