The Dawning of The Age of Aquarius?

Post by Diana Moon Glampers » February 14th, 2009, 3:30 pm

This is the dawning of Age of Aquarius.

Really.

Just like the song says.

Here, now, Saturday, Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, 2009.

This is the day “when the moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars.” When “peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.”

It's about time. What with economic collapse, climate change and rampant terrorism, we could use some good news.

But what does it mean, and is it really here?

Astrologer Walter Mercado, writing about the transition from the Age of Pisces, which we are now in, to the impending new age, says that “in the Age of Aquarius, we break from the past to invent the future we desire in our society and in our person. The answers we find will be wholly new ones, totally original ones, but they require a thorough examination of what has been and what we wish to come.”

As wonderful as it all sounds, we might have to wait until A.D. 2600 for the Age of Aquarius to start. Psychologist Carl Jung picked that date. Peruvian spiritual messenger Willaru Huayta says it began in February 1962. Historian Nicholas Campion has documented astrological sources that have placed it anywhere from the 17th century to the 28th century.
