The Las Vegas Boulevard Buzz

jack-- on the incomprehensible space. Came to me as I remembered how my sense of scale was scrambled when walking between the mega-casinos.
I can still almost hear that Las Vegas Boulevard buzz . It made it all seem comprehensible to me. My sense of scale was scrambled too. Such a powerful seductive electric guitar feeling. As if it was all there for me, my paradise. I was barely conscious of who I was or where i was. Sorry I can't articulate it any better.

Articulated like a truck.

When that filth wheel gets rusted on an articulated vehicle, it will jack knife you in a heart beat.

I can't remember which sock puppet it is maybe silent woman got a reference to I. B. Singer on behavior mod.

The rabbi asks what a Jew should do if he is not a pious man.

the intention behind the intention

why I started thread

Mark's prose is impeccable I guess I am working on a reply to his thread.

I come into Las Vegas as a trucker. It is a friendly city for a trucker. Everybody and their brother is anxious to meet you.
They know those trucks are insured for multimillion s. They practically beg you to run over them. Funny to see those rookie drivers come into Vegas traffic. They learn fast you can't intimidate a Vegas driver with the size of your vehicle.

ToGet back to m/nazz soon as I find the words to articulate the full spectrum of that electro-magnetic field that surrounds Las Vegas.
It does warp one's scale of things.

There is am aural facet to the experience as well as what Mark is talking about.

He makes Comparison of the desert and Vegas. He talks about the incomprehensible space of both.

Not much I can add to that. But there is a silence in the desert, and in vagas there is the humm or buzz. I like walking through palpable force field that shuffles your brain, makes your ego jump for joy.

In the desert I feel the tender indifference of the night sky
In thet pulsing lights of Vegas there is the buzz humm speaking to me like a kid at his first carnival. This is all here for me.
As if you can hear the humm of those dynamos up at Hoover Dam throbbing in your ears like a rock and roll electric guitar.

Oh what a feeling.

that poor little ego fo mine
it was so happy in las vegas
Id was such a pleasure
I felt super.

Thanks for the comments Jack. The piece just kept migrating deeper into realms of greater and greater irritation and disappointment for me-- to the point where it was becoming a grumpy old man rampage. I got in some shots-- The sacred worship of profit/greed as some kinda pinnacle of human endeavor. The insane, blood-crazed Fundy megachurches, the vicious Rod Parsleys of the world poisoning our quiet suburbs... the general overwrought blip-vert wasteland of it all. But then, since I realized the rant was getting a bit outta hand grumpy, I put it back on myself to breathe a bit of life back into the system. Somehow. Didn't say how. Not sure how, exactly. I'll just have to leave it vague like that.... Ha.

Impeccable, did I spell that right?

The writing is impeccable, I saw no old grump. Unless you mean the ten thousand year old man. You got neolithic eyes mark.

I am just thinking about who I was in 1980 the first time I walked the that boulevard at dusk, still looking for the words.
Something about the light
and that buzz.

weird
obviously I am not very clear on what I am writing about, let be for now.

thanks for taking the time to comment on my comments

I am off on a tangent that was not really related to what you were writing even if it was inspired by it.

so I figured I would just post it here and work on it.

My vegas
your vegas
the same city
different visions

I am into force fields, electro magnetic mumbo jumbo quantum mystic vegas night where death lizards from outer space seduce earthlings with their green yellow death rays

I am going to take my meds now.

Who was it on litkicks who said nothing wrong with being paranoid if you are paranoid, headburner?

In east baltimore fifty years ago
the saying was "a n gger is a jew turned inside out."

Beats me Constantine, if I meet jack kerouac on the road I think I will have to kill him.

This is all spontaneous text box to text box. I am no Charlie Chaplin but I wish I was. I have heard that he would build the sets for his movies before he had a script.

I used to wish I was Ricky Nelson too.

Now it is More like a hum than a buzz
My own personal unified field theory

I mean, don't get me wrong. It's a buzz alright, even a godawful one in some ways, but I kinda dig it.
