How fast will the unraveling occur?

Post by still.trucking » July 2nd, 2009, 8:23 pm

I hope I am wrong, and that Iraq really is embarking on a new course this week. But I don't think so. So I think the real question now is: How fast will the unraveling occur?

Happy 4th to you too, Jack.

I don't know how patriotic I am. I do have a tricorn hat. Sometimes I wear it while driving my Jeep. One time I wore it to a pow-wow. Then again I like to think about beginnings.

Everybody should think about beginnings. To see how far things have come. To see how it is going.

I used to have a dog that would get up in bed with me when I was a kid. She'd get under the covers and fart. Then I would fart back. Sometimes I would fart first & freak her out. Neither of us could fart the Star Spangled Banner.

I would put a shot of main street Texas from google earth here if I was not so beat. Been a good long day off. Very sweet friends and family, out at the old home place.

Yeah main street
stars and stripes hanging as far as the eye can see
in the land of the free

I can still make my own whiskey and raise my own peanuts. How cool is that.

Max Shulman the syndicated columnist back in the fifties used to have a daily column in the The Terrapin, my college newspaper.

I used to live for those columns.

The bit about the dog farting the star spangled banner on the Ed Sullivan show I can't remember where I read that, maybe a sci fi story about an alien invasion where they put Americans into a stupor with mindless TV or a Max Shulman column.

I feel like a stranger in a strange land sometimes to see all the whoop dee do, but lives there a man with soul so...

Yes my great grandfather, he sent his children to the new world.
