Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. I got plenty of books. So what if the kids in Detroit don't. And we still have the most lethal military force in the Galaxy if not the world. No chance we are going to starve.

And Fuck the young let them get their own lobby. Just so they keep working to pay those social security taxes for me.

Watching the simpsons, god I love the fox network. Homer says every body but you childless wierdos can join in. I got no hostages to leave to the future.

So what if the world is fucked up, been that way since I was born ten thousand years ago.

Even if it takes 2,500 gallons of water to make a gallon of ethanol. Water is cheap and the atrazine is safe.

China been at this civilization game three thousand years longer than the "united snakes" No wonder they going to eat our lunch.

But everything is perfect because I will be long gone and buried church yard dead before the fan hits the shitz.

And Paris burning but listen to the music, it is so sweet.

three for a dollar. that sounds good... and they taste like nothing i can recall... a taste all their own.... like the smell of freshly roasted chilis... the long greens... damn! if that smell don't get my tongue dripping with desire. $1 b at the farmers market on saturday... and some other good deals - onions and squash - one buck a pound. but your .99 cherries..? that's a damn good deal... ain't seen none that cheap around here. even the royal reds are $2 lb on a good day.

cherry pie is Soo's favorite pie... but her diabetes don't give her no slack... so when i do an apple pie, no sugar... agave nectar instead. can't tell the difference.. maybe even better. maybe.

take a pic next time... you can wait... it makes you strong like a 7 pound taco with 2 pounds of salsa, 1 pound of white cheese.

Why don't she use Splenda, cook with it the same as sugar.

My cherry pie paled in comparison to yours Cecil. I used store bought crust the crust was okay but it looked like carboard. I decided to eat it. It just was not worth a picture. I been thinking about trying to make my own crust.

Now this is a pie crust

Agave nectar is damn fine stuff ... and it don't bother diabetics. we still buy some products that use splenda.. until they start using something else... stevia or agave (made from the same plant that tequila comes from).

Free trade, somebody always had something that somebody else needed or wanted as far back as the first hominids walked the earth. Just a matter of time till the first corporations were born, just a million years or so. Walking that water front in baltimore looking at the filthy water and wondering how it all came to that

Memoirs Of An Ex Prom Queen I loved that book. She had the Faust syndrome too. She wanted to understand the world, fit it all together in one sweeping theory. Been thirty years since I read it, maybe it was not as good as I thought it was.

I don't know why I bring that book up, I have a reason but it has not made the trip into consciousness yet.

Workin on the waterfront in Baltimore making copper sulfate for water purification systems as we poluted the harbor a little more in the process.

RE Eastern Rare metals vat of boiling sulfuric acid.

Boiling Sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
Camus
The da y after my Rose of San Antonio's funeral(which was held before Sundown of the first day after her death
I was in Laredo Texas picking up a load of DDT dusted brocolli from across the border where DDT is still legal and where I have heard we get fifty percent of our frozen vegetables
So anyway I was on the dock waiting for my fork lift gu y to bring me my veggies when the dock foreman who was the biggest Mexican I have ever seen started talking to me like i was a white boy gringo human turd Yankee and then in his arrogance he turned his back on me and walked away. And all I had in my pocket was a little one inch blade that I used to cut the shrink wrap on the pallets of veggies. After that I stopped carrying a knife at all.

When I was in night school learning French I had a after school job working the grave yard shit in a chemical plant Eastern Rare Metals in Baltimore. The owner was an immigrant Jew so naturally he had figured out how to carve out a living here in the promised land. He bought the floor sweepings from wholesale jewelery companies and extracted the precious dust from the sweepings. Amazing how heavy a bar of gold
(the size of a paperback novel the size of Vonnegut's Mother Night ) is
He also started into another venture of making copper sulfate. Real easy money. All you need is a vat of boiling sulfuric acid the size of a back yard pool, maybe ten feet deep and about fifteen feet diameter and then some scrap copper wire. It was my job to monitor the process through the night and occasionally add some more scrap copper wire to the brew.
This was accomplished by placing a 55 gallon drum full of copper wire onto a pallet and then taking the old forklift and raising the the pallet to the rim of the vat of boiling sulfuric acid and then climb up onto the pallet and tip the drum over into the boiling acid. It was a very old fork lift and the hydraulics leaked so that the forks slowly went down if I took too long the pallet would catch on the lip of the vat of acid tip over iand tip me in. I have been wondering if my death in that boiling vat of acid was so painful that I have blocked out of my akashic memory. And at the moment of death as if by some quantum miracle I was instantly entangled in another parallel life where I did not die that night. Kind of like Schrodinger's cat, I may already be dead and not know it. The reason Camus comes to mind is we were translating The Stranger in French class
