Bob said, "Hey Ray, check out the checkers on her flamingo."
And Ray was already disappeared with the honey pie by then. That's how it all goes.

It all seemed so silly to me the dust up over a tweet. People lining up to take sides.
Funny guys I used to think. But I am a sucker for radio. I was raised on radio, maybe the last generation that was not baby sat by TV sets. Laying on the floor in front of a big floor model radio listening to The Inner Sanctum and G Men, as good as it got for us.

Thx for posting that. I ain't heard that song in awhile. I read somewhere once that Mellencamp thought that this song was really stupid and seemed to be nonplussed that it turned out to be one of his biggest hits. I couldn't figure his attitude on that. The piece is so totally American it couldn't have been written anywhere else.

Trucker, it stayed singing in my head all day.
At the moment I can't recall any of his other tunes except one other that I like, "Little Pink Houses".

I hardly know his music, I can only think of two of his songs
This is the other one
Hurt so good.
Come on baby, make it hurt so good.
Sometimes love don't feel like it should.
You make it hurt so good.
