A Happy Childhood

Post by stilltrucking » May 20th, 2010, 12:41 pm

eons of ions
quantum mysteries
let our hearts be
forever young
keep us in wonder
knowing more than we can say

It is going to be a long time gone
This mystery of my life
In the eternal night I rest
Till the sea gives up its dead
When the spirit moves across the face of the waters
Again.

Till then
Let my spirit be unchained

Such a far-gone world
The glow of old floor model radio
A woodstove crackling fire
Candles eight plus one
Gas street lamps
Railroad tracks glistening
Boxcars looming in the foggy night
Ships horns
Black out curtains on the windows
Baltimore world war two.
Such a happy childhood
safe in the new world
a loving family
treasure of memories

I was raised in a sea of black faces
A minority among minorities
One refugee family in a sea of black faces
My first enemies my first friends.

talk about what used to be
waste another day
trying to find the courage to be free
unentangled by guilt
to live my own life.
by the sea
the beautiful sea

like a dream of Osaka Castle

"Like dew i was born
Like dew i vanish
Osaka Castle and all that i have ever done
Is but a dream
Within a dream"
Shogun
