I am going to miss those trains too

Complicated and beautiful when in memory.
I try convincing myself it's almost the same as a minute ago. I don't know if you do that, too.
With the sound of my own heart beating in my ears I lay down to catch some sleep.
The central air is off
the windows are open to an ocean breeze and the smell of rain the cars swishing by on main st.
and in the distance
I hear a train horn faintly
coming at me louder
now
and the rumble and vibrations
as it passes
and nothing happened
except I got up to write this.
going to miss those trains
when I was a kid my bedroom window was three feet from Pulaski Highway
the trucks would roar by all night the windows would rattle and I would sleep like a baby through it all
but in the summers I spent in the country
I would toss and turn at night till I got used to the sound of bugs and the peace and quiet
The bear so hard of hearing
that TV on from morning till night
blasting
a good time to work on a Zen practice or get ear plugs.
But on theupside I will be able to see the night sky again
I try convincing myself it's almost the same as a minute ago. I don't know if you do that, too.
You ever get used to seeing the same ceiling over your bed and think about it after you have moved
A new ceiling to wake up to.
That will take some getting used to.
no nothing changing for me minute to minute
just this text box which keeps on scrolling away

This meant a lot to me
just reading it
I liked the first thoughts.
More soon.

We'll never find a pink train,
all trains are heavy and dark
rolling down the track.
We look just like em
we feel just like em
we gots a track to go on over
and who we'll pick up
rolling along.
I like being a train, Jack.
Glad you're at the station
tipping a hat.

Going to miss the Handy Andy produce department more than I will miss those dang old trains.
Going to get a picture of the ceiling in the Handy Andy to post here, it looks like a Fiesta with all the pinatas hanging from it.
I got the blueberry pie made but I forgot the lemon zest. Went over to Handy Andy and got a lemon just for it and forgot about it.
Pie is pretty good I wanted to get a picture of it to post but the best I can do is half a picture because my little sister had two slices already and so did eye.
Into quotations Kerouac and Iphigenia and the band last waltz and Dr Seuss
Going into this with both eyes shut tight
Wake up and miss my solitude when it is over.
BUt I but I got to "make one fast move or I am gone" paraphrase of a line from big sur.
If i had to move I wish it coulduv been dere.

Wish I could be there
down on a rock
writing wave talk
and going insane.
Want to be on the bridge, too.

past insanity
into inspired
like being on a misson
cutting and pasting the blues brothers and the jitterbug.
"on a mission from god
and I got half a pack of lucky strikes
and a gallon of gas in my bike
with a hundred dollars in my pocket
I can hear that highway sound
and a penny for my thoughts would not tax my mind"
at all
Only thing I am missing is the library.
I have not heard a train in months
don't miss them all that much or none at all maybe
somenights I can hear the horses whinny
coyotes howl
and I can see the night sky
full of stars and wonders.

I hear a whistle...
I'm gonna be watching
it might fly by me
and it just might stop.
Nothing finer than a big black train.

Nothing like a big black train to roll my blues a little farther down the track
But those diesel train horns ain't so romantic when want to sit and listen to the sound of the wind in the live oak trees.
Those trains ever 15 minutes was turning me into a shut in without a home. I don't miss them at all. what I did like was the sound of them in the distance than growing lourder than fading away again.
The library was nice. And
I miss my Handy Andy
Oh how I miss their produce department.
Fresh fruit everyday just a block away.
But I have darkness here, no more sodium vapor lamps blotting out the night sky
I love the darkness
I don't miss not seeing the night sky at all.
Something I wrote about my love of the dark back in two thousand and seven
