"On The Waterfront"
I say I am not the same man I was
am I?
Who was I?
Since then
I found the light within
and the darkness
I never cried for Rod Steiger
Private meanings
"I could have been a contender"
I wasted my life
So what?
Now.
am I?
Who was I?
Since then
I found the light within
and the darkness
I never cried for Rod Steiger
Private meanings
"I could have been a contender"
I wasted my life
So what?
Now.

Re: "On The Waterfront"
In 1972 at the tender age of thirty-two
I found G d
yes I saw the light
blinded by the light
now I have found the darkness too
remorse and regret
for what I have done
for what I have wasted
Not crying bout the leaving
All is well
Amor Fati
I got everything I asked for
as if I had a monkey's paw
I found G d
yes I saw the light
blinded by the light
now I have found the darkness too
remorse and regret
for what I have done
for what I have wasted
Not crying bout the leaving
All is well
Amor Fati
I got everything I asked for
as if I had a monkey's paw

like a spread across the table
and a winking witchy woman
pulling up a card.

the Power of the urge
to merge
it will never leave me
never be free of it
Some days are worse than others
to merge
it will never leave me
never be free of it

Some days are just like this one
and waking up I wonder what it will be likes.
Hoping you'll have a good day, u.

days come and go
in a blur
the nights pass slowly
but I sleep fast

Re: "On The Waterfront"
Here's to sleeping
may it not be lonely
and we get our kicks
before the clock
does it's cruelty,
sleep good
sleep tight
might just make a person
alive tonight,
never can tell
what's gonna be there
when our eyes open up.

and we get our kicks
before the clock
does it's cruelty,
sleep good
sleep tight
might just make a person

shut eye
time keeps on slipping into the past
there is no past there is no future
so I have heard
and now is hard to grasp

Re: "On The Waterfront"
Let's try to grasp now,
first way to tag it is to say,
"I'm it! Better run faster than me."
On the now, I'm wearing red and black,
I really like days in the summer, but I'm dealing in this cold.
In the now, I'm thinking about changes,
if I could find a way to get changes to start happening,
but I'm at a loss. I don't know nothing about grasping unless it's
in my lap, almost. I guess I wait and don't bees enough hurricane
or sumpin'.
To be now, I say, "Ha! I found you! Tag, you're it!"
Catch me if you can.

I will catch you if I can
I'll stand under the high wire
with both arms outstretched
I remember you
your name was Clara Bow
I'll stand under the high wire
with both arms outstretched
Oh no you are IT girlShe flies through the air with the greatest of ease
The daring young girl on the flying trapeze

This made me think ...
loved it and makes me smile.

Re: "On The Waterfront"
goldie, she got a good schtick, gracie allen got nothing on her.
Made me think of what it is that makes me laugh,
why do I need too
are we the only animal that can?
I saw Sally Met Harry again the other night, one of those fall back films for me, The God's Must Be Crazy another. Laurel and Hardy. Albert Brooks The Muse, just saw that one for the first time. I would like to see it again.
