like or as how
the water seeps through
the fingers of my cupped thoughts
then the truth is revealed to me
that is when I see it written here
admit to myself my secrete repressed feelings

the walls of Jericho go deep
deeper than the pyramids
older than the oldest
known civilizations
lost in time the many humans that dwelled there
before the words were written

so too everything within goes down and down to truth

truth abides in dream

the mcdonalds somebody elses hamburger
moving the car
wandering looking for her in the lot
the confrontontation
dividing up the money
getting her to admit she does not like me
thinking about what I wrote about smoking

my excuse is my family
I can't abide her without a cigarette
