That's my new mindset. No villains, it's just a god dam shame, that's all. Like a guy who is released from prison after thirty three years in solitary confinement.

No one to blame, not even myself, because I was a like the prisoner of Lublin.

My good fortune to be born a man.

The old man
lies in mud and blood.
Under him he feels
the books.

Voices

Let's have another pissing contest.
Looking back at what I wrote today

More like Adam walking around naming things. He slept better at night after a good days work naming things

pissing contests
You ever have that feeling?

The Limelight all about show business I guess being on queue knowing what is going on while it is still going on like watching Kerouac on William F. Buckley and me hoping jack was not so drunk he did not have a clue I felt offended by the guy, felt sorry for him too cause he let Mel get his goat Navajo...

"How does anyone get these people to finally confess to their crimes" What has confession got to do with anything. What good do confessions do? Oh wait your Catholic  I just like knowing, I thought those men were very articulate and it eases my mind to have a better understanding of what it is ...

"Do you have a dog in this fight"

I pity Jews who are defensive about being a Jews. This guy is out of line, all he had to say was, "If you are asking if I am a Jew, the answer is yes, but I am not looking for a fight...this is just my job I am a reporter trying to be fair and objective" Seems like a fair question Mel asked a fair...

It is peaceful in the square
Downtown Ukraine
All the boys have gone home
and the girls have packed up their cookies and tea pots
quiet time in the old town tonight
and that's all right

meantime back in the USSR
boys
I am gonna blow up my TV
eat a lot of peaches
and listen to the raga blues

if I were these words, these pixels
these photons bouncing into your eyes
would I exist in your mind

pause to wonder
what makes me write
gratitude

Sex

What's love got to do with it? Is it some sort of metaphorical thingy that I don't get :? Why am I such a hopeless romantic? Why do fools fall in love? Oh yes I am the elusive butterfly of love  Love this poem From that pale mist Ghost swore to priest: '"There sits no higher court Than man's red heart"

Re: love -

Re: love -

Re: Sex What's love got to do with it? It must be a chick thing. Don't mind me little sister I am just a dirty old man I suppose Just my first thought reaction to your poem I don't always think of sex first when I think of love I think about the love of G d,of life of beauty of women and children of...

Re: not that it would interest anyone but I wonder . . .

The notion of the “Deep State” as outlined by Mike Lofgren may be useful in pointing to a new configuration of power in the US in which corporate sovereignty replaces political sovereignty, but it is not enough to simply expose the hidden institutions and structures of power. What we have in the US...

Re: not that it would interest anyone but I wonder . . .

What words best describe present-day Washington politics? The commonplace answer, endlessly repeated by politicians themselves and media observers alike, is this: dysfunction, gridlock, partisanship and incivility. Yet here’s a far more accurate term: tacit consensus. Where Republicans and Democrat...

Re: not that it would interest anyone but I wonder . . .

There is the visible government situated around the Mall in Washington, and then there is another, more shadowy, more indefinable government that is not explained in Civics 101 or observable to tourists at the White House or the Capitol. The former is traditional Washington partisan politics: the t...

And in the Ukraine the young men fight in the streets and the sweet young women bring them tea and cookies. Why do I wish the women were doing the fighting and the men doing the cookies? Not that is is of much interest to anyone outside of the United Snakes of America Anatomy of the Deep State http:...

repetitive dreams
hustle bustle
never ending
play beat the clock

death and taxes
dirty laundry dirty dishes
pick up sticks

break on through
deep insight
to the edge of the darkness
a seed of ice nine
freeze frame the moment
a child's encyclopedia of science and a thesaurus
a writer's tool shelf

ooh wee baby. Ooh wee, ooh wee baby.
Won't you let me take you on a
Sea cruise

ordinary day doing ordinary stuff
boring stuff like trying to figure out where to put my feet
where is the first step on the journey out of this inevitable descent into decrepitude.

more omega 3 fats
but maybe most of all a good nights sleep
out of this fog

out of nothing
the words appear
from no where
just there at the tip of my fingers
distraction from what passes for life
when the bell keeps tolling and I keep ignoring
from a distant mind I look on in horror
as fate takes his course with a little help from my delusions
in and out of reality

yesterday I was superman
today I am maggot meat waiting to happen
when I am up
I want to write
when I am down
I want to write

writing going to be the death of me

like magic eight ball of shitty karma
the icosahedral die float ups bearing answers of doom and gloom

let me roll boys let me roll

a dream of hell more as a nasty business office than fire and brimstone
a place of disappointments nobody was getting what they wanted

dream of mundane
woke up thinking of gluten glutton

paperwork, blouses made out of rice sacks, secrete passwords

a sense of dread and foreboding and evil but everything was well lit by florescent overhead lights.

woke at 1106pm more of a nap than a nights sleep
Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter could be said to remedy anything.
