So you want to be a writer

if it comes bursting out of you
in spite of everything
dont't do it

if you don't sit for hours
staring at you computer screen
or hunched over your
typewriter
searching for words
don't do it

if you do not have to sit there and
rewrite it again and again
don't do it

I got that bit about my fear is my art from Bukowski.

Strange dude, a hell of a poet, and poets don't have to be nice guys I suppose.

You ever read Franny and Zooey, loved that book, the love between brothers and sisters, the sweetest love outside of true love that I have ever known. Something my friend in D.C. with the scuba suit could see but not me, we were meant to be platonic lovers not erotic.

She was an honorable woman, she knew her heart. The only reason she took me into her bed was because she was grateful for me covering her back one night in a bar on capital hill when a drunk was leaning on her. That and she felt pity on me because she knew i had not been laid in seven years.

Just remember they don't call me zero hero for nothing :P

Here is where I heard the bit, "I was afraid. My art is my fear. I rocket off from it."

Yes I read granny and zoey- I don't get it- what happened- what did you mean when you said" don't do it" if it isn't perfect- some abstractions appear not to be- but really - it sizzles like magic

J.D. Salinger I hardly knew ya :P

I drove for an outfit called Zero Motor Fright, god I love typos, so Freudian, Zero Motor Freight, they used to call us Zero Heroes cause we would be running the road in the foulest weather, the company was started by a retired army colonel from world war two, most of the drivers seemed to be combat veterans too, I don;t know why we all got along, I felt honored to be accepted by them, me a four f hippie conscientious objector.

Abstractions are like reality checks for me, a test of my sanity, just how rational am i?

I got a used book The Writers Guide, 2001 edition. I have had it a couple of years don't remember ever even cracking it open till this morning on the crapper I was desperate for some reading material. I don't read hardly no place else, more of library than a bathroom.

Salinger most of his work was about crazy people
well they were sane enough when they were children
but then life happened to them
or death, or war. Something that I can't imagine. So I rely on the imagination of those writers who have excellent imaginations someone like George Trakl

So what happened to Zooey?
I think she found her sense of humor?
