let's see if I can describe it

Post by mousey1 » August 1st, 2006, 4:10 pm

let's see if I can describe it
in words of thirty or less
though I confess
it's beyond my understanding
I've no capability for such things
for counting
the cost

there's a tiny bit of comic relief
in an eye with a tiny tear
dew on green grass wasted
don't bother to mop it away
for another will simply replace it

I memorized the line of lip and thumb
I confused the meaning
of either one
I poked along in needle-like fashion
looking for the eye of the storm

I string together words of devotion and watch them splinter
one by one

I hold all meaning to highest pressure
and hope the meaning won't come undone

if you follow the leader and
measure the letter
if you follow the reason
instead of the one
you could hold the empty
eyes of a stranger
and never notice you never won

I write in the vagueness
of questions and pages
there's nothing been written
there's nothing been done

come follow the lead of that slackened jawed sinner
he wasted his pleasure he wasted his tongue
his mind holds the answer to all of the questions
but he lost the key and he'd only begun

come follow the leader
come follow the lesson
come follow the morning
come follow the sun

I can't quite believe in the eyes of a stranger
though I'd choose him forever
I'd follow his love

there aren't any reasons
there's never been motive
I voted in the election
my candidate won

the morals of storys
that never were written are always the storys I follow along
I dotted the i
capitalIzed my intentions
forgot my reflection
i thought it was gone

come over my lover
come answer the question
you won't find the darkness
the line's too soft to see

in nonsense and words
I painted the portrait
the landscape forgotten
in rhymes about scenes

can you follow a mind
without any direction
can you stick to the storyline nobody wrote
I expect that the answers
are full of the questions
intricate questions framed perfectly

they hang there like limbo sticks
low lying limbo sticks
ducked under
jumped over
skirted around
pictures in galleries hung
eyes pawing
for meaning and light
answers forgotten in the fore shadowing
the meticulous painter once
so alive in the scrapings and scratchings
in the hues and the splatterings
is now and forever
long ago
done

No
I can't describe it
in any words less

it is momentus conjectureus
my eyes framing you
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Arcadia! Excellent that you stopped by.

So happy you found something to enjoy in this exceedingly long write.

When the mind is left to think, all sorts of things are possible. In the asking, we find the answers....eventually.

love lots

I couldn't describe it.

I love questions...they are bold and show some caring and concern

I love answering...so nice to get to the heart of the matter

one without the other is pretty much empty silence

It takes some guts to have a heartfelt conversation

to engage in the beautiful back and forth
