Oh mirrored one

I pulled the words out of the sky
lined them up their marching orders -
tell no lies
and find those eyes
that care to hear

Oh mirrored one

I'll not be judged
and I my own sharp critic
takes a rest from cut and edge
and contemplates the finer things
caress and touch
mitigate the damage done
oh foolish mirrored one
who smiles and feigns
coquettish vision always sees imperfect
loves to point and pout
a pirouette of dancing skill
and insignificance
corruptive lies and cold hard facts
as if it matters much
and I confess that if I had
the softest eyes and warmest touch
of love without within
reflecting back I'd look at every line
and know I've earned them all
an etched life map where every
little crease will lead to you
oh foolish mirrored one
if I could see myself the way I
feel the sun or lose myself in
summer walks or come undone
orgasmic pleasure soft sweet lips
a tender kiss
to hold the hand of my loved
mirrored one
who looks at me
and in whose honesty
is only love
