sweatpants
hang low in all the wrong places
unflattering
comfortable, they bely all that I am
juggernaut
faithful complacent
saggy jowls encompass that
rather unknown
flouncing through rooms envisioned beauty
seen by few
whistling
wishing for a far off shore
ravaged by the moon
awash in naked half gray light
silhouette of aged desire
put right by you
concupiscence time worn
not often traveled listing badly
victim wrapped in baggy
love would swoon
and sweep up all excited
sweaty nights of easy passion
where a fake could lay relaxed
and portly matters not nor jiggly bits
nor random fat
tis all the same
when two surround each other
lapping at sincerity
collapse as one
sweatpants
t-shirt ragged
and a rose
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Thanks stillt. :)

Happy. You put your foot on that one, mister.

We can but cling to the happiness boat that floats merrily through the putrid sea untouched by the stink.

ah me.

Thanks for reading.

 Whenever someone begins to apologize, out of the blue, I start to wonder why. And then I start wondering if I've done or behaved in such a way as to have caused someone to feel the need to apologize and thus begins the opening of a whole can of worms in my mind that I'd just rather not have to open. So, unless there's a problem somewhere here that I am unaware of, please don't apologize.

I am now forced to assume that there is something amiss that heretofore I was unaware of. Shit I hate that.

The Sorry Monkeys - a poem

ah well, wrenching guilt overwhelms most of us I think
preemptive sorries rattling off of walls
sliding down empty
puddling beneath the feet of unforgiveness

on certain daze I say I'm done with guilt
it's hard-assed wave of blame
white flag surrender

the trained circus chimps perform
yet there are days when they
would rather just toss shit
fling it into faces wanting sorries undeserved

we sit within our cages
chattering jungle frenzies
memories raging
waging wars against captivity
when captivity's all we've known

Please don't feed the Sorry Monkeys.

Sensual humor, I like the sound of that. 8)

And encouragement, yes, yes, yes, I can always use that.

Thank you, jimbo.

encouraging the courageous is an easy thing
it is the frightened heart of suffering too often failed
left alone, beaten spirit dangling

the wizard of oz gave the lion a medal
it caused a shift in consciousness

but light and paltry
i know that ordinary people are confronted with their limits
and muddle thru
with something less than courage
motivated by fear
a survival instinct

they get no medals

courage has been usurped by masculine military valuation
and is a vehicle for manipulation

fighting for one's own glory may invoke courage
but bestowing oneself into situatons beyond limits
oout of one's comfort zones takes plenty of courage

it is good to know the familiar
even ordinary folks need safe places

i am working with some pretty sick puppies
in a less than perfect situation

one lady just started with hospice
her mood brightened appreciably
she had a rally day yesterday

i agree with you completely
i had many years of trembling
failures

where is the poetry of courage
resilience
hope

'it is the frightened heart of suffering too often failed
left alone, beaten spirit dangling'

The spirit, though it may be left for dead at times, is not yet beaten, I say.

a beaten spirit is a sad thing

in flesh we cry
in spirit we die a thousand deaths
silently resurrected

cocooned butterflies...
or moths battering at bulbs incessant
battling against the blackest emptiness

within an inch of death
but what an inch!!!

I am beaten
I am way out of my comfort zone
and comfortable in my skin

that fear is all I got going
I can not speak to manly military courage
I am cerfified
I was spared
that lonely imaginary shot gun under my chin in 1963 november when I tried to strangle Mrs Bates. And that sunny morning in Baltimore, with Jockie O scrambling over the trunk of that big black Lincoln.

I am beaten
it is beaten out of me
that dark spirit
that god given instinct to kill
or be killed
I put it out on to a paralell nervous system
I realized that if I have ever done anything heroic
it was autonomic.

you can't play here
even if it could get you elected President
JFK had that coconut on his desk
I will never forget the picture of them carrying out his rocking chair from oval office.
What the hell am I saying political heroes as american as apple pie, I am voting for a civilian this time.

sorry mousey1, I forgot you are a foreigner. Take care up there, after we finish bringing democracy to Iraq we maybe coming your way.

stoned logic
everything you can say
I can say different

digital mind clicking away at this keyboard
I wan a bee in that number when the sainst go marching in
I want to march right out of here

random lays
random words
fractal attractors
meanings bifurcate
linear military macho men
got to be true believers
still a quacker jack
I benn into the bitter herbs again
Visions of southern jews in charleston south carolina having passover meals served by slaves.

Spooky times for
I feel so close to love
and so far away
have you ever seen the video of stevie wonder singing "Superstition" on sesame st?

yes I am beaten
so got dam grateful to be beaten
a beat spirit is nothing to sneer at

just say
High
