Power go

Post by mousey1 » May 3rd, 2008, 11:37 pm

We once spoke of power. How needful. I lost my hold a long time ago. Melted tip of the iceberg. Drip drip drip ocean going. Forever lost at see. And believing each glowing center you corroborated. How I longed to let it go. Soft intoned. Power central. ET phoned home and of course there was no answer. Just the hum drum drone drone of the dial tone that bleats louder than any lost sheep or shepherd turned herder. Because there is a difference. The chosen and the follower. Rhythmical. Drummed louder each beat hit chords and Charlie Brown, Lucy and that fucking Schroeder forewarned it would be sew. Sow to me the strength to try harder. Overcome the wrenching ardor screwed.

I don't have it in me to wish to fit in
I've wedged myself between the rock and hard place
before

I just want to roll with it
and when I rolled
I rolled snake-eyes and empty

my double loaded seven
slammed between the eyes
and crossing themselves

like good Catholic thighs
which I'm not
nor heaven ever been

tempted the fates
ate my date
alive before the sun had dried

as fingers touched
every center
being soared

acceptance
fizzled
corruptible

had we locked eyes
our padded cells
would have remained

empty

smiles key the corners
pocket shots to
where I've been

you could've kept me company
and I alive and soaring
in every corner of your being

triplicated

well clone me
your test tube
my museum
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

slid into me without even trying
as gentle as the urge to overthrow
run naked in fields of clover where bee stings
are free
capitulating to my senses
I ran
how joyous
my loco motive the little engine that could
swollen twice the size of all recognition
come on to you
your wall climbed
how I loved the view
dissection now
convoluted the intricacies never quite as intricate
under the microscope
sizzle ant
frizzle
fry
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!

stepped on, one polka dot too many
kicking up the heels of dust-a-plenty
coughed in the nailed end of things
the tap tap tap
of the sealed
clawing to get out

little Emily Dickinson thickly skinned in her own enclosure
wrapt the words under cover
self-discovered, all imaginings
dined on the indefatigable

or so I imagine

as plain as paper
she divined her center
logic
hid

romantical pleasure
confined to
id

Everyone of those poems a mousterpiece

that bit above just popped out at me
Cause I swear I must be born to follow
I still want to fit in.

Thank you all for stopping by and reading my Go. I think I did have, in the back of my mind, a notion to quit posting here. Lost a bit of my starch maybe, maybe the ol' poetical backbone slipping. Sometimes I do that, you know, lose my grit.

But, I certainly have popped in and read and such, it is just that the inclination to post seemed inaccessible at the time. No steam in the engine just a lot of putt putt!

Tickled that you all enjoyed this. And mt, I composed the first half of my Go offline and in a little more time than it appears here, but the last half, the last two were spontaneous at the time, taken from inspiration of LC's Closing Time. Which by the way I'm happy everyone enjoyed. It sparkles with Leonard Cohen wit.

Hugs to you all for reading and for wordly support...Lord knows I often need it. I, an unabashed praise hound! :P
