You Seem Happy

Post by mousey1 » December 20th, 2009, 2:25 am

Colours float
as bright as starlight
trees shape momentous against mountainous forevers
burbling streams caress the ears
as silent as footfalls
no words speak what the heart feels

Existence parallels and each happy branch
sprouts its own new leaves
the forest bed transforms through eyes serene
that capture more
much more than mortal eyes can see

Take shape
your colour palette swirls
and holding fast to beauty's touch
you make us see
no more the walking past
the fast unsure
of toiling for what never lasts

Don't mind me there
who sits awhile to
lose herself amid life's fleeting dreams
which pass replaced
by all necessity

The butterfly and elephant's remorse
the flit and ne'er forget
the sterile hobby horse
who rocking back and forth
sees stallions maring pastures wild and free
and in my tinted glass reflects the me
not lost but found

Brushing past you leave a trail
of nature far surpassed
you delve and pick and choose
what's real. Laid upon the canvas bare
a daub, a smattering of smooth rejoice
that sends the quickened spirit to the
wheel, again to steer their course along
what fate allows

Pain and dread and misery fall away
as treasured paths make of them a mockery
and leading to the open space
where sunlit dappled meadows light
the thoughtful face
find peace
silent commune
where spirits calm outreach

no need for speech
nor never was
the see, the feel, the
sense of it
evolve passed letters of the alphabet
and touch the sky
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Yes I am happy
to have read your poem

I, too, would like to be included in the happy to have read this mousey.

Better and better as the night goes to dream.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

Oh, hey that's peachy. Happy is sometimes a rare commodity so I am delighted if I can sprinkle even a handful around.

Thanks for popping by.

very lyrical, mousey. there is not enough lyricism in poetry nowadays, but this has it and then some.

Thanks for dropping by, constantine. I appreciate it. I am glad you found it lyrical and in a good way too it seems and I hope. I do like a poem to roll along merrily to its lilting conclusion.

:D
