No one there...to listen

Post by mousey1 » June 2nd, 2006, 11:17 am

You never chose me
I inflicted myself upon you
You coalesced
Ah...I try too hard
in my ignorance
There are schemes
ploys to employ
But not for me
I laid it all bare
then had to rush
to cover up my nakedness
I don't follow the logic
of going it alone
I firmly believe in
Ports in a storm
and silver linings
Like words written in the rain
my clarity is lost on you
smudged beyond all recognition
My horn blares
but there's no one there
to listen
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

the first image i got was that of a child in p.e. waiting to be picked for a ball game of some sort, but getting ignored, for one reason or another; ususally i was that kid. Then another image i got was from child hood. This 'billy bad ass boy', who shalll remain nameless i sort of had a crush on. When there were others around he treated me like the outcast--we shared an unbrella once and he actually spoke nicely to me; but then again we were the only ones waiting for the school bus.

Some human have this tendancy to laid all their cards on the table and ususally end up getting hurt in the end. Or perhaps the person (boy) we like finds out our little secret and we rush to try to deniy, but it's too late the damage is done.

I'm lost on the 'ports of strom'; and the 'silver linings' to them i say bah humbug where relationships are concerned. No matter who speaks the loudest, who really listens in the end. Just thoughts.

good one Mousey, a lot of depth to this piece.

love lots
Deb.

Thanks for reading Ann.

Ports in a storm? Oh my girl we all need em, I usually strand in mine alone.

Silver linings? Every cloud has them, and why? one might ask...because the sun is always there somewhere behind them.
