On the slant...always on the slant

I trained myself to write on a slant
a backwards slant
I'm not sure why, now
It makes no sense
but I think
it had something to do
with iterance
Do what the others do
Plod along
on the slant
Don't do what you really want to do
the straight up dance
of just being you
Trained
monkey see monkey do
girl on a string
You live, you love
in the process you learn
I taught myself to dance
alone in a room
and to laugh
at my inconsistency

it is our uniqueness that gets lost in childhood because if we do not go along with the crowd we are outcasts. We eventually learn to do what others do just to fit in. In adulthood we learn to be ourselves; but by then it is to late to be who we really are. Just thoughts. This one is a bit sad to me. It's too late to change who i was....

love lots

Never live in regret. No, you can't change the past, just don't spend too much time looking back, you're more vulnerable to crashing into something...and maybe busting your nose.

You live, you love, you learn, you move on, everything leads somewhere, mustn't get stuck in a dead end.

I've often thought, "If I can just get out of this parking space." Well, of course I can...I may have to bump and grind, do a little damage sometimes, but I can get out, there's always a way out...after all there was a way in.

Thanks.
