Where Eden's dream is filled

ever walk barefoot on gravel
deformed gait
exaggerated body movements
Quasimodo swagger
to overcompensate
for the pain
yet you persist
determined to gain some ground
eyes locked on a horizon
that seems further away

ever stare off into space
mind set on daze
respite from the pleasantries
respite from the strains
of all those day to days
grinning and bearing it

ever touch the face of a dream
only to be astounded by the reality of it

ever stand on the verge of never
determined to erase the nostalgic n of it

ever smile at the face in the mirror
because you see someone elses life in it

ever

ever

the song of ever

where Eden's dream is filled

I enjoyed your poem thank you.
happy I read it
It felt like a port in a storm
a safe haven
a gentle push comes to shove
a kind word
a helping hand
a gentle breeze blowing east of Eden

your poem leaves me feeling less alone

remind me of the human condition
and the crosses we bear
the dark valleys we must walk
alone
but with friendly voices.

keep on writing mousey
sorry for the ramble

My life story. Too many words.

Is there such a thing as too many words

I wonder

Is there such a thing as too much silence

I wonder

there is that companionable silence I so treasure
there is that distant silence left hanging
there is that pure quiet that expresses such longing
there is much beyond my understanding...

too many words?...well at least one can pick through them.

thank-you for reading.
