any lifetime of regret asserts itself at the beginning of the session and then questionmarks itself to death.

Poetry should be like the knife in the back, twisted effortlessly, with a wisp, just a grated rind peel of envy, applied topically at the end. A twist and a turn so the words squirm and spell out m o m m y.

this! or me!
it's not pertinent
pointless to the nth degree
it's not pertinent
and no one gives a shit

and shove it squarely

right next to your attitude
I'll take impertinent any day
and my impertinence

for it is truth's gilded lily
in worn out packaging
