She doesn't give me the squirms. I just wish she could've found her happiness. Some peace within her delicate skin.
I was really suprised when a woman on litkicks said Plath gave her the squirms. I thought it must be a chick thing.

Do you remember when you first started posting here & I asked you if you were a female critter?

"Peace within her skin?"

Happiness in work and love about the best we can hope for in this buzzard dump

I like that quote from Iris Murdock,
"all our failures are ultimately failures in love"

Well I'll see you in the funny papers...in the frame marked square!

First thing I go for in the morning
see ya there

how about this salutation
so long for now mouseyone
do I need another winkie?

I don't read the funny papers anymore. Heck, I don't think I read the paper anymore at all. T.V. for news, online information. Local happenings by word of mouth or else they get lost in the shuffle.

I am probably the happiest when I am being an ostrich. Head in the sand or off sniffing flowers. I suppose it's a good thing we're all not ostrichized though, what state would the world become. Though maybe if we were all ostriches we wouldn't do no harm. Doubtful.

Yes, I do recall your interest in the gender of the me. I probably answered in the affirmative though honestly I seem to prefer being treated genderless. Gender so often a wall or roadblock to nitty-gritty. Person first, gender second or not at all. That said, of course there are times when gender is the all and a necessity. Those times of our own individual choosing. I do love the man woman thing in certain settings.

Anyway, don't be a stranger, stranger. :) You know you're always welcome in these mousey digs.

Hey, I'm thinking about changing my name here and obtaining some respectability. Whatdayathink? I think I'll start a poll on the matter.

I think you can be too color blind
I think you can be too gender blind

I am sorry I asked you
my chauvinism I suppose

I have to give the new handle some thought
I don't know
Mice are pretty scary to me
I don't think I could respect you any more if you changed your name to tiger1

Never apologize for asking. Asking questions is good. Questions can allow us to get to the heart of the matter. No questions mean no care. No answering means no care. If you care you're there, if you don't, well hey, why should ya?

Curiosity for the sake of curiosity is also good. No need to apologize.

As to the name thing. Yeah, I think a change is in order. It might not change anything, but then again, maybe it will. After all, who wants to nose into a drawer full of mouse droppings. Mouse droppings suggest a lack of respect for myself and my work and a lack of self worth. Can't have that. I am worth, even if no one else can see it...I am worth.

I must not grovel in my own low self esteem. I prefer the air up higher. :D

respect has nothing to do with what your name is.
and I am working to free myself from the self
I am working to free myself of working even
I want to be free of wanting to be free
because George Bush told me freedom isn't free.
I think I am making too much sense
That is me
always wallowing in clarity

this is it for me mousey
moment to moment
no self
no self esteem
never going to change
till I die
just human all too human
I need to watch more Dr Phil
Me and whimsical deb were talking about that last year.

.
Good luck with the user name mousey1
are you going to be human and bipedal or will you stick to being a four footed critter. i suggest an elephant I think if I had a totem it would be an elephant, solitary bulls circling the great gray cows.

Delhi died

Image

I try to keep up with the six elephants that I hauled around when I drove a truck for that circus. Delhi had a hard time after I left the Circus. Sad story but she wound up in a elephant sanctuary in tennessee to have a few good years before she went to that mysterious ivory graveyard...

I probably need a couple winkies in there
I can't tell where I am serious or when I am not

Clowns don't get much respect kiddo
but it is a sacred calling
I should have been a Hopi or Zuni maybe

I sound too serrious.

No way you can take this serious.

ps you can read about the elephants in that circus
here

I am not sure if Tina is the baby elephant I chauffeured & babysat. The age is about right.

I have my moments of chatterboxiness for sure. I am on vacation, doing a whole lot of nothing upon nothing, and it is gold. Doing a little communicating too I suppose.

As for the user name and me, I will be human I guess, it's what I know, it's what I do best... all to human, same as you.

I deleted the poll, too much like pulling teeth. It's my own decision anyway. And yeah, who gives a shit! What's in a name? It's the name of the game. Half throttle. Putt putting along.

Everything we ultimately do we do for ourselves...in the long run. Well, except for all the fuck ups!

I betcha behind closed doors ol' Dr. Phil gets just as confused as the rest of us. It takes a lot of gall to advise others, set them on the path to enlightenment. He's not always right, nobody is.

It is good to be a clown. Not a thankless task. :P

Does anyone really read this jarble (jarred bull)?

I guess I should have said
good morning

here I drop this for your amusement

It amused the bejeesus out of me
In the entire history of Chinese culture, no other poet of singular stature has managed to preserve the veil of mystery concerning his true identity as well as Cold Mountain, and I propose that this was not literary conceit but a matter of life or death.

Yup, and a mighty mouse too! Able to leap small buildings with a single bounce.

Thanks for the peachy compliment. If I ever decide to go as a fruit, a peach it shall be.

I don't know about being amused, but sometimes I feel like my veil of mystery is really just cheese cloth!

Just saying Howdy cause I thought of you today, or maybe it was yesterday.
Yesterday, I am sure. I was watching some clips from the movie Guys and Dolls and for some reason Sargeant Sarah Brown reminded me of you.

Sky Masterson:
I am not putting the knock on dolls. It's just that they are something to have around only when they come in handy... like cough drops. ...
Your poems are handier than cough drops for me.

I hope all is well with you.

Where ya been, jimbo, hiding behind curtain number 3? Well, that statement makes no sense to anyone but me! And I have been a lost distant cousin of Studio Eight for the last daze myself. But I try to peep in even if I've nothing much to say.

Thanks for the words of incorrigiblement, um I mean encouragement, my dear stud 8 friends!

And a grand sketch that is, Jimbo. Glad to see you still keeping your hand in.

How's it hanging dude?

Looking for that poem you wrote for your four footed friend. The one in puppy dog heaven. Remember that one?

I needed a laugh, this cheered me right up

I hope you are not offended by it
