Lawrence did not read Joyce closely enough to appreciate the full extent of his rejection of sexual immediacy. But he read enough to support a psychic indictment, that in Joyce the worm of consciousness preys on the living flesh of desire.

Ah yes, and what a worm it is that turns and turns. Appreciate the body and all its sensual capabilities, the living flesh of desire driven on by this constantly turning worm of consciousness, of semi-consciousness, where the half-closed eyes of ecstasy unite with spacial entities and baby get it on. Well, I wouldn't trade my body and the human pleasures therein; but oh the mind fuck, that is bliss.
Thanks mt. Once again your one word response can be taken two ways at least. I choose to take your 'Fuck!' in a sort of breathed out this poem is satisfying way. So don't burst my illusions okay?

Love that sketch. Looks like a frenzied rose. The best of the bouquet. It fits my image of me very well...though mine might be a bit more wilty!!!
...and I just noticed that there's a little buzzy bee flitting about in there too. Precious!
