back drop
I went out to bum a smoke last night. There was a cop car parked out front of the hotel and I was a bit shaken by it. I decided the best thing to do was walk right through the crowd of cops.
“hey look who it is?!” yelled an undercover in hommie attire that had met me one night when I was walking around somewhat intoxicated.
That night they had told me to go home. Which I did not. Then they saw me later on in the night, and said that I should go home and if they saw me again they'd just “beat the shit out of” me. I did not like the way they said that.
“what? I live right here. Leave me the fuck alone.” I told them then started to walk across the street.
“are you J walking?” one of them yelled. “you better come back before you J walk.” I ignored them and walked on.
I walked and bummed a smoke off some people hugging in front of a cafe. The guy said i only give it to you because I think it is “beautiful the way you asked. Not like a lot of people these days.”
I went back to the hotel like a trapper to his hut. And smoke the ciggaret in the noise of the city as my back drop.....

great place to settle
unless ya like the great west
but vancouver an victoria wow
nothing vast there just the waters
inland those mountains are places to get lost in
magnificent quietude, placid lakes, great intervals of solitude
too much desolation blues
visionaries need a home base
toronto has it all
great international city
man my taoist tai chi man made it there
an artman too will not get you into
trouble
the crime of the moment
too much desolation

I want to be a paper back writer.
I always liked that beatles song.
I don't know jimboloco
I wish him every success
He has the drive
My got dam mood swinging today.
Never will understand the karma thing
I mean it works for me
I get what I got coming
but it seems so strange that a baby is born to a 16 year old mother and an 18 year old father
only to live one year and be beaten to death by her father because she cried too much.

Geoff that remark about paper back writers is for myself. Just a big ego trip for me. I used to sit on the crapper and right reviews of the books I was going to write.
I knew you were a gifted writer the first time I read your stuff. No shit, I said someday this guy is going to a successful writer and I knew him when.
