when we arrive at the end of a
circle of directional light, we become
one with signs, my back leaned
on a wall not going one way
at all while our feet take a stance
to jump on a passive platform

we are on both sides of a track going
the other way from ourselves.

i am your brother and mine,
my sister and you combined,
my inarticulator waived
by rights you never claimed
and we wave to each other
on other sides of doors at both
sides of ticket intersections

i am better placed on top of the tracks,
wax on knuckles, palms, soles,
a vacuous stare in irises where
i become a place defined

by the time of chug and beat
i am as incomplete
as you are

going,
waiting.
Shiny floors
surround a
black hole.

or not
to be.
Inside,
outside,
or just,
on a
ride.
