The Tigress

Post by BambiPurrs » November 5th, 2006, 11:31 pm

The Tigress

I gazed upon the vast, blue sky
the rugged growth, brown and green;
I strained to hear her raging cry,
a mystery so rarely seen.

The muscles ripple powerfully,
the fire flashing from her eyes;
her restless pacing, endlessly,
I can only sympathize.

Her cubs, long lost to man's own hand,
would have been immortality;
Alone, now, she longingly roams the land,
crying out so beseechingly.

A mighty figure, proud and rare,
the strength, the high intensity;
She fixes you with her steady stare,
you have the urge to turn and flee.

Man's own hand, so swift a judge,
has placed her on the phase-out plan;
but true to form, she holds no grudge,
she only wants to hold her land.

Her home grows smaller every day,
her territory dies;
the awesome tigress will fade away
with one last angry, lonely cry.

And man, the one who plays the God,
will blossom day by day;
and all our creatures, with barely a nod,
will slowly slip away.

white tigress protected
a few game preserves in China and Russia,
that's about it,
a pretty domesticated kitty
your best hope for now
until the human race becomes more capable
a sustainable earth,
her offspring will one day honor you
wild once again.

Tiger tiger,
burning with forgiveness,
resiliant resignation,
give thanks,
there will
be food.

Tiger tiger,
All meat must be
cooked well done,
yes I know,
I miss
the raw stuff too.

Tiger tiger
pacing in the cage
has waned off a bit,
so what.
I speak for all of you
locked up too.

Tiger tiger,
No adjusting needed
for my domestication,
as long as
you remember,
not to fuck with me.

super predator
I ran away from home at the tender age of 33 to join the circus. At night I slept on bales of hay beside the tiger cages. I would fall asleep with the sound of his tortured roaring. True story. We called him Ragin cajun cause he constantly had to shift his weight from paw to paw and roar in pain. The circus people told me that before Cuneo's Circus got him he was the mascot for the LSU football team. They had de-clawed him and butchered his paws so he could hardly put his weight on them.

The saddest part is that tigers breed like bunnies in captivity. So what's the big deal about their survival in the wild. Sometimes I think we need more man eaters.

Solitary animals are my tribal totem.

Truth be told I was not that close to the tiger cages, I slept by my elephants, such a cleaner smell, I would feed them saw dust and they shat outtwo by fours.

Tiger crap it is hard to describe the scent of it. The essence of five thousand dirty kitty litter trays. I think the chemical name for the odor is a mercaptan, a sulfer compound.

but I could hear his roars plenty good. we usualy camped out in parking garages next to or under the auditorim we were performing in. Good accoustics. Cuneo had a white tigress born in capitivity, she was called Maya and he was mighty proud of her, he was always talking about how much she was worth. Easy money.

Siberian Tiger, yeah need a lot of room to roam, a territory of 120 square miles per solitary male. The male tiger is the biggest threat to her cubs. His terrritory will intersect with a couple of the solitary females. He is always on the prow for future competition. He kills the cubs if he can find them. Maybe just the males, i forgot. Most of what I know about tigers is from tv nature shows and reading. Except for the smell, first hand knowledge.

Man talk about don't fuck with me. She fights him tooth and claw, he woos her with a death grip on her neck. Tiger romance is so sweet.
