i was just in the middle of provoking
the very edge of mindlessness when i toned it down
and came to the realization that this particular box
of saltine crackers has crackers in it which are much
more salty than usual.

now, that may not seem like an important discovery
but as it turns out, it dawns on me that once
these crackers are gone, the box will be empty.

i realize, dear reader, how profound this is and that it may be
difficult for you to comprehend the gravity of this situation
but i feel compelled to speak out about it.

and what will i do when the box is empty?
ah, that is the question which plagues me now.

i am hoping i will be able to accept it and move on
to spread brie lightly on pita without the least amount
of grief.

it is 9AM.
the sky is bright blue.
wind sways the evergreen.
winter is coming to a close.

good morning.

When the box is empty I cry out

LET ME EAT CAKE! For I deserve it.

Dry cracker life. Who ordered that? I might ask you.

But instead I dip my hand into the empty
and come up Cracker Jacked

ready to face
and yes entice
more life

Good morning.
Good write.

You cracker me up!
