The key to redemption

Post by Doreen Peri » April 18th, 2008, 12:11 pm

The key to redemption is in the pen!
Can I get an AMEN?

It comes from ya and get's to ya!
Can I get a HALLELUJAH?

Kerouac sought redemption through his pen.
When this book is finished, which is going to be the sum and substance and crap of everything I‟ve been thru throughout this whole goddam life, I shall be redeemed.‟”
From Kerouac a biography by Anne Charters.

I like this quote from Amos Oz
His father told him that:
"The world revolves around the hand that writes"

A Tale of Love & Darkness

I also like this from a GO by ~k
I always thought
redemption was a given

30 years from anything

we are like clocks struck dumb
a harsh and bitter chord that
sends it's ripple down
tomorrow's spine

we are like her friends
a portrait of enchanted
intentions

past like rivers
hold forever
spellbound

This is how I closed my performance in baltimore... saying these lines... (or something similar)

and they all said AMEN! and Hallelujah!

Audience participation. Was fun!

redemption is a difficult concept to swallow all at once. ;)

yeah, i guess

too many zeros tho

There are very few zero replies on the others but hey, that's just me noticing a thing like that... i admit, i did post a lot of them at once when i resurrected this thing 10 days ago on the 15th, but still....

so many zeros makes me feel vulnerable and naked and invisible at the same time .... i have a weak ego, i guess

i archived this before for the same reason..... It sat here for months and months with all those zeros .... i didn't see the point in posting to it

'cause i can keep a folder of my own work on my own computer... if that makes sense

i know my weak ego is a difficult concept to swallow all at once, but hey, at least i'm honest..

lol

thanks for replying, cecil! I appreciate it, truly!

....maybe i need some redemption.... where's my pen?

hmm.. then again that's how this whole thing started! with a fricking pen
haha
