Baby sister
how does it go
the ryhme
a son is a son till he takes a wife
a daughter is a daughter
you got to be there for her
what ever anybody is saying about the medical conseguences
the brain has so many redundancies built in.
When Alamo Rose struck out
only her daughter seemed to be aware that she was still there, her son the psychiatrist in denial, he was still in training back then, he is a much better physcian now. He believes that Medicine is or should be an Art as well as a science.
saying Rose had no awareness
no presence
my sister was the first to make contact with her, I don't know how, eye blinks what it was
but rose came back, a struggle till she got a few words out that made any sense, till she got the movement back on that side her body.
massive stroke can't remember what side, left or right, the side that seats language ability
Massive stroke can't remember what side, left or right, the side that seats language ability
first coulpe days were hell, Rose silent total paralysis
watch your driving
my sister had a close call that weekend.
bad wreck distracted with worry
Zen and The Art of Driving
I would get that for your daughter when she starts driving.
All I remember about those first couple dasy was a big brown turd on a light blue carpet
Her room mate upset about that. As I cleaned up after my mother I thought about how many shity diapers she changed for me
sorry to hear the news
be pulling for you both
in thoughts and prayers
that was all twenty nine years ago
medicine has come a long way in science
is it still an art
I will say a little prayer for her doctors
and hope at least one is there for her
really there*
*long digression not gone into about Zen and the art of Medicine
