18 years ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! Now she is 18th! OMG! I'm taking her out to dinner. She's my Thanksgiving baby. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1992. And today and every day, I give thanks for her!

and a fabulous 18th to alicia! Congratulations, doreen - a daughter of legal age (is she legal, now?). Now you can begin conversations with - We're all adults here....

Thanks, Judih... that's all she's been saying lately.. "I'll be an adult in 2 weeks"... "I'll be an adult in 10 days".... "5 more days Mom, guess what? ADULT!"... "Guess who's legal in 2 days? Yep. ME!" ... and now?..... We're all adults here, so we can talk about this calmly and rationally.

I can't believe time goes by so fast... seems like just recently when I was listening to her point and say "wazzat? wazzat?" and then the toddler crawl, and pushing up on her legs and learning how to walk and grabbing everything in sight, and helping her with her homework, and the years go by so fast, it makes me cry, I swear, and now I'm teaching her to drive and she'll be going away to college and I don't know what either of us are going to do any more... LOL!

She will have a bright future... I'm so proud of her! I'll miss her so much.

I may move to a trailer park on the east side of some nondescript town in the middle of nowhere and learn to write poetry or something.

I'm still in a daze. I can't believe the day has come and gone and soon she'll be on her way and my job will be done and then why I'm here I"ll wonder...

We went out to dinner last night.. it was quite lovely.

I figured out why God created credit cards, being currently unemployed. Every penny was worth it! I wish I could buy her the world! I love her so much. She's my heart!
