still waltzing through my dreams

http://www.elephants.com/delhi/delhi_bio.htm

The summer of 1974
I ran away from home at the tender age of 33
and Joined the circus

She loved waltz music
all six of them did

Beautiful brown eyes
she would reach out with her trunk and draw me to her
you ain't really lived till you had an elephant hug

Happy to learn she is unchained at last
I loved her
But I could not free her
Just took the best care of her I could
I felt like I was among Hindu Gods

Thank you. I will treasure that picture sooZen.

She would hold me there and study me. Sometimes she would take my hand in the end of her trunk and put it her mouth and I would let it rest on a molar the size of a loaf of bread.

she always put my hand on that one particular molar. I did not think of it until now but I wonder if she might have had a tooth ache. I wish I had checked it out.

The end of her trunk was amazing, so dexterous. She loved tobacco, people would throw her cigarettes and she would break the filters off before she ate them.

It's a Nose! It's a Hand! It's an Elephant's Trunk

You're very welcome, my pleasure Jack.

it is wonder full when we are tuned in and touch the wonders around us...

my tobacco is filter-less too.

Yes I surely did love them all. One day when the circus parade was marching through downtown Montreal Delhi saw her reflection in one of those big mirrored windows. She panicked and broke into a run. Me holding on to her ear, dangling there like an ear-ring on the goddess.
