I have always wanted to read that Byron poem.

I read the first book, could not read the later ones.
I suppose that is because he was still just an anthropolgist when he wrote the first one.
I could follow him.
Later I had trouble making all the quantum leaps of faith he wrote about.
I am by nature religious, I must be vigilant
spider woman loved those books
they were a comfort for her

I only tried to read them cause it gave us something to talk about.

Can you imagine a grown man who used to run up cellar stairs because he felt something pursuing him out of the darkness.

I was still running scared into my thirties. Took me a long time to shake that demon born in the darkness of a basement smelling of dead rats.

My father prepared me well
