Denver to Jersey to Oregon

I guess I'll start with Oregon. I arrived two days ago after a grueling 4 and a half day bus ride. I left NJ with $38 dollars and one duffel bag of clothes and assorted personal holdings. Along the way I had only 5 cans of tuna and a box of Ritz crackers. My friend Denese has been kind enough to let me stay with her as long as I pay her with sexual favors. (her exact words when she said I could stay here) Today is my first real day here. It is a beautiful Sunday, weather is 70 degrees and a clear blue sky. I've got my resumes (one for cooking and one for construction) and plan on exploring the city today with Denese as my gorgeous guide. Her apartment is a stones throw from the University of Oregon where she will be graduating from this fall with a degree in child education and development. The amazing thing about her is that we met, briefly, last year when I lived in Astoria and kept in contact via myspace. My first two nights with her have been nothing short of amazing, incredible and completely surreal. I mean.....we fit....ya know? I was glad to have returned to Jersey, it had been three years, but not a glad to leave it behind. There is no reason to ever return. I was doing the math the other day and figured that in the past ten years I have more than 20,000 miles travelled. I feel its time for a rest. I only hope this place and this woman are in a month what they seem to be today. Currently she sleeps.....I am preparing to make a breakfast fit for a queen. (she loves that I love to cook)

ps I am aware this thread should have a picture. As I continue to add to the adventure I will try to add pics. I am not even sure if Denese owns a digital camera. If she does, I'm sure she'll have fun adding to this thread with me......

Denese and I just got back from our tour of the town and of course when we tried to take our first picture of the beautiful fountain designed by a blind woman, the fuckin batteries died. As we are both disgustingly poor, we cannot afford batteries. The fountain though is amazing. There are different markers all around the area that when you stand on them, the fountain makes a different sound. I'll get some photos up soon.

roger breaker this is denese taking over the membername yabyum, with his permission of course, over.

here's yabyum-ordered-and-approved highlights from the rest of our day:

Image

after a scrumdiddliumptious dinner, we walked around the university of oregon's university street neighborhood and dreamed about the house we're going to own one day. we didn't want to make ourselves miserable by taking pictures of the beautiful houses nobody will ever be able to afford, so ronnie took a picture of a tree. he's new to digital imagery, which hopefully explains the lack of focus, as well as my hello kitty enthusiasm.

so then we went out and topped our tasty dinner off with some tasty beer. the tasty beer influenced us into taking a tasty picture.

I been reading yabyum for about six years or more
He wrote a poem about knowing the location of every crumb of happiness that had fallen through the cracks. That poem has meant a lot to me, I wish I could find it again, but it disapeared somewhere on litkicks

Good to know that yabyum has located some happiness again.
