Tom spent hours snapping around downtown Dallas on Saturday, July 14, while I gave and received at the Third International Women's Peace Conference. Here's a pic I call Minding the Territory:
His journeys took him to Bill's Records and Tapes, a Richardson institution recently relocated to the urban-renewal land of South Lamar …

… then back into the heart of the city.

If you’re interested in a piece of urban prairie, here it is:

I'll write about the Peace Conference soon ... that was a trip ...

Brother Thomas 1855-1896
wonder how the shorter life spans made people act
old Dallas
last time there a brief respite from Ft Worth, summer of "87
about the same age as that old timer
I marched in the St Patrick's Day parade in March of '63 in our HS Band
a segregated schools down Commerce Street by the Texas School Book Depository building, where had gone on a field trip back in '56 in third grade, remember we were in our school bus parked near a school bus with black kids and the white kids in my bus called racial taunts out to the black kids, who were silent.
Now there is a peace conference in Big D, now that's something.
