I just talked with a Latina lady this manyana
she says you can't go swimming in the big river at Rosario
because all the homeless people use it for their personal needs and it is polluted.
they are upperclass Cuban refugees.

judih: I don´t have the photos near me now, but I´ll try to find some and post them here or somewhere later.

jimbo: it´s allowed to swim in some parts of the coast in the Rosario side. Not right where the city´s desechos are volcados directly in the river... Even though, you need to have a great faith, necessity or a little inconsciencia to bath in the allowed zones... I doubt the spanish-upper-class-cuban-refugee-lady has some of the three things named before, jaja!!! (I also have to say that I don´t bath in the Rosario´s coast...!) But when I cross the river it seems I have the faith enough to bath in the Entre Ríos islands side or in some sand banks, maybe the big caudal factor would help us!!. (I prefer that when the option is a public swimming pool!).

Every morning for the past six weeks I've been leaving the river mouth for the open sea-taking tourists salmon fishing-though I havnt developed any great affection for the general public, I'm still blown away, after all these years, of just how beautiful and majestic it is where the Great River of The West meets the Pacific Ocean.
