whenever I go to shoot I get "Nothing good today, it's all foggy!" or "Great day for pictures huh!" People think that they are so damn funny. I always just say, "We'll see," or "Yep sure is." and I mean it

These are on the wonderland trail that encircles Mount Rainier
and here's the best yet of the lookout on Tolmie Peak

the Osborn fire locator as seen in Dharma Bums

the next time I go up I'm brining Earth House Hold by a chap you may reconize; Mr. Gary Snyder, the begining is about his lookout days. Just sit there in the fog and mist and feel it for real.....

				life is foggy
Fog is life
My life is filled with fog
Where I use to live fog was a rare site
 Now it greets every dawn
Watering the dry landscape
Giving life to dry despare

Closest thing I have to fog right now.
Fog is cool. If you don't see it much.
My thick fog usually shows no photo.
By the way, fog and all, great photos.

				Thanks all!
Arcadia- very nice, might have to try and get down south one of these days...
Nice one Duck!
Dave - before I discovered the beats I was wandering around the coast quite a bit, i even had and still do,"An Indian prayer" in my wallet:
"o Great spirit
Whose voice I hear in the winds.
and whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me, I am small and weak, I need your
strength and wisdom...."
it's tattered and worn these days...
maybe I'll try to scan it and post it here.

as long as your indian prayer is tatterred and worn
but not you

nubes en Salta
clouds in Salt
at the end of the road
where the river sweeps away
into the broken waves of the world
sumertime blues
and hues of dissonance
hopng for redemption one more time

I don't even know where I picked this up but it has been one of only three things that has accompanied me on all my travels, the other two being Walden and my cameras. Everything else I own has been abandoned, left behind, sold or lost at some point but these remain….
