Click the photos for a larger view.
I walked the path on the bluff
each morning at eight,
greeted by sun-glistened water,
saw pelicans swoop to catch
their breakfast in their beaks,
seal pups sunning on the rocky shore!
This is the heaven my mind seeks.
These are the days to live for!

Dave - It's the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach, CA, part of the San Mateo County parks. It's about a half an hour from San Francisco.

Yes. Half Moon Bay is very cool! I could live in that town in a minute. It doesn't look like it's probably changed much for many years, Mark. The little shops are a bit pricey but I like it there! Well, everything is pricey. Geesh looked in the paper and you can only get a studio apt or one bedroom in San Fran for $1500 a month. The houses on the coast cost like $1 million ... good grief! Ads in the paper said jobs were paying $12.50 an hour. lol.. how do people afford to live there?

Would love to see photos of Chile if you have any, Arcadia! I've never been there! Thanks for looking. Glad you enjoyed these.

Oh and Mark, no, I didn't ride any horses (those were just people I saw on the beach). But they did have horses to rent nearby and the marine reserve was very near where I stayed and very close to HMB.

It's like one town over or something.

it was just a ride over the mountain from my HS....thru La Honda where Keysey and the Merry Pranksters used to stay.....i'll never understand why my folks wanted to return to PG county in 1970.....went there on my honeynoon in '74 (rode those horses) and had a job as a mailman lined up in the "City", she did not like it, can you believe it?????
