Tucumán

Post by Arcadia » January 31st, 2010, 10:21 am

the summer travel I did with two dear friends started here, in independence land (where us, people of Santa Fe were told once more that "you weren´t here on independence day because everybody well known´s differences you had at that time with Buenos Aires..." ) A Tucumán covered by clouds, in lazy-lazy january mood, with reformas around the independence house (the little always superpoblada street is now peatonal so you can photograph the house without cars in the middle! ) and a new statue of Mercedes in front of the Turism Office offering to the walkers and visitors the opportunity to remind the need of some kind of cosmic hugg...! :). We spent also some hours to take a shower and have a nap in a hotel with several crash-risk and misterious lorquesca atmosphere called "La Vaska". I fell in love with the floor inmediately there!

Tucuman.. el mismo San Miguel de Tucuman en Argentina? Before you went to Bolivia?

Is Tucuman where all your pictures were taken? That is an incredible life-size statue of the native woman.

yes!, all the photos taken in San Miguel de Tucumán, the capital of the province. It seems San Miguel is the most famous arcángel in northern provinces, lost of statues of him in different places, not only there! Gracias for take a look, Cecil!! :D

San Miguel de Allende...! no idea!! and the time always beautiful in the mountains!! ... wow!! :) The weather in our trip was partly rainy except in Chile, because it´s rain season in andean zones from october to april. Beautiful also!, you can see all the plantations in bloom and the selva and the rocks misteriously among vapors. This year the floods were wilder than other years, but the river didn´t take us with him in Aguas Calientes, we were in the desert already at that moment!
